Catherine Conroy
The philosophy behind the jewellery that I create is that design is the heart of style.
I design & handcraft jewellery that is sculptural but comfortable enough to wear every day. My jewellery reflects the personal style of the wearer. It may be a subtle but eye-catching pendant or it may take the form of a brooch, flamboyant with a panache matching my client’s personality.
I find inspiration for my creations from observation of the shapes, patterns and cycles that I see in the natural world. The recurring motifs of discs, arrows, and whorls that form my aesthetic are the result of a fascination with pre-Columbian artefacts, this interest began during my years spent living in Canada.
Through my craft, I aim to add beautiful precious objects to our world.
